Yep, the cotton dishcloth yarn.
I have a hankering to knit me an accessory for my newly painted kitchen. I have one of them pattern-a-day (or pattern-every-two-or-three-days, as the case may be) knitting calendars, and one day last week, there was a pattern for the neatest area rug that would go ever so well in front of the patio doors. Then I got the JoAnn's flyer, and lo, the yarn gods were smiling. Sugar 'n Cream, on sale, a good sale, and the super 4oz size, too. So Sunday, I dragged Wonderful Guy to JoAnn's ready to BUY.
Alas, my colors, a good red, deep blue, and green, were not to be had. Ecru was present, but I wasn't going to get that without the others. Guess I will wait until later in the year, 'cause apparently I am not wanting spring and summer colors for my nifty little rug. And I will not settle.
I looked online, but only the 2 1/2 oz size is available. Said rug calls for about 16 skeins of that size. I am not investing $32 in this thing. It's not THAT cute.
One thing is certain in the yarn world, at least I think so....Sugar 'n Cream will be on sale again some where...some time....
