I have only had peonies in my yard for three years.
I have had blooms for two years, and only one real bloom last year.
They came from Dearest Sister's KC garden. I am not sure where she got them. She may remember. We have determined they are not the super-fragrant heirloom variety, but...
Look what I clipped Friday night.
(And no ants were spied!)

Lovey blooms. I thought they had to have ants to open the bloom. Oh well, it matters not how they came to bloom, does it? Love, WS
Good that you got some inside before the hail.
Would you like a fragrant, light pink peony? I have one that has outgrown its location...and needs a loving home...
Beautiful!
I'm seeing lots of buds on mine (and lots of ants) so fingers crossed we have a pretty show...
I adore peonies, but my favorite part of all is the ants swarming over the spherical buds.
Oh, I love peonies -- they are so delicate and fluffy. Yours are just gorgeous.
I don't get the ant thing.
Beautiful! Peonies are such amazing plants. We've got two big ones in our front yard, and I'm just waiting with baited breath for them to bloom!
