I completed the shawl, this time with some excess yarn, but not so much really.
It is blocking tonight. It does look pretty...
Last night was the open knitting night at the alternate lys. I like this group. It is a bit less pretentious, and a bit friendlier. I might call this place my home. I worked on the Grown Up Sock with it's Magic Loopiness. See how it grows!
I talked to Wisest Sister last night, and shared Needles of Iron with her. She likes, which is very pleasing to the ‘need for approval’ part of my soul, but more importantly, said she has some Elizabeth Zimmerman books she is going to forward to me! This is great on so many levels. Let me enumerate…
#1 BOOKS!!
#2 Knitting BOOKS!
#3 Elizabeth Zimmerman! (which I have been looking for, and have considered putting on my birthday gift list)
#4 Free BOOKS!
I have asked her which EZ books, and if the Baby Surprise Jacket is in one. If so, guess what is next on the list for Grandbebe Girl!
I am making some old-fashioned meat loaf tonight, baked potatoes, and green beans. That’s a good menu for a chilly evening. We got snow coming, so they say, but the whiteness won’t last. 60’s are forecast for the weekend. I am hoping for some sun on my back while I clean up some more of last year’s yard debris.

Your shawl turned out beautifully. Congrats! Love the color too. Very nice choice.
I still haven't knit a lace shawl, but I should. Yours is gorgeous. Love the green!
The shawl looks beautiful. Let me know when you start working on the Baby Surprise Jacket. I have notes that can help you make sense of the project I lovingly refer to as my Origami project.
