Broken and battered.
Ah well.
Some still have buds yet to open. Some do not, and I am very glad to have gotten the pix I have.

Unknown frilly one
And one heirloom peony...if only this was scratch and sniff!
With wind like that, I called Wonderful Guy for a fetch and tote home. Alas, I am a fair weather biker, I fear. But come tomorrow, I will be on the wheels again.
My poor iris....

I have only the typical iris in my yard, but everytime they bloom, a wind comes up and they lie down! I thought I was doing something wrong that they couldn't hold themselves up. Lovely photos and a great memory.
Poor iris! I have to say that I do NOT miss those winds! We do get wind here too on occasion but all the trees tend to break it up so it's not quite as violent. Please tell it to stop before we get there. :)
I believe "unknown frilly one" is Whipped Honey. Still looking for veined one.
Iris are my favorite flower; yours are gorgeous!! Hopefully they will recover from the winds (fingers crossed) so we may enjoy more for your lovely photographs. I moved mine from one section of the yard to another and the gardeners mowed them. They are recovering but sadly no flowers this year; at this pont I am happy to have leaves!
