Yellow.
Yellow tomatoes.
My last two.
It’s mid-December, and I have these two left from the pre-freeze harvest of mid-October.
I used the last two red in chili last Wednesday evening, when it was so so cold.
My outside air temp on the way to work that morning…
The fresh tomato smell as I cut them up brought some warmth to my kitchen, and proved to me it was worth the effort.
Now the table on which they ripened has been handed over to gift wrapping.

-9?! File that under Hell.NO. Brrr! This gal from Florida could not handle that.
Brrr.... it hasn't been quite that cold here.
Chili has been on my mind too. I need one can of beer for mine... and I don't drink beer. Ahh, the only hold-up! Chili is definitely in my future.... I can practically taste it!
The tomatoes are a splendid example of Yellow. It is hard for me to rid myself of the concept that yellow tomatoes are unripened!
I forgot about the tomatoes in the basement. How did they do? Did most of them ripen? Man, I miss good tomatoes!
What a treat on such a cold day!
Thank you for the positive thoughts re: my migraine. I like your banner and background. Also, how lucky that you have two more tomatoes to enjoy as winter arrives. And they are so pretty! Have a great (headache free) day!
those look so delicious! you have a lot of willpower to not have eaten them until now!
