A friend recently invested in a herd of alpacas. She brought home about 8 pregnant females and two little girl alpacas. Today, Wonderful Guy and I went out to meet them.
These girls are just the best.
Look at Friend's Daughter with one of the little girls.
I think this one is telling Wonderful Guy that the time change has just wreaked havoc on their schedule.
Friend and Friend's Daughter with the little girl whose rose grey baby fleece I HAVE DIBS ON!
Let me repeat. Baby alpaca. Rose grey.
I think they love me, too.
La la la la....I can't hear you!
Visitors usually bring goodies. It the tradition around here.
What am I, chopped liver?
Said farm also has a goat, a couple of icelandics, some regular type sheep, and some egg laying chickens. Today only the alpacas were getting any attention.

What a nice weekend you have had. And the baby alpacas are so-o-o-o cute. I will look forward to seeing the rose grey (or is it gray?) spun and knitted. Love, WS
They look very cuddly! Not quite like a heater kitty on your lap cuddly, but in thier own way cuddly. Very sweet faces!
So much future yarn goodies!
They're all so sweet.
I do think alpacas are cute. I love 'em!
Oh my goodness! They're all so cute! Alpaca photos always make me want to move to the country and start a farm. =D
My alpaca skills are getting better all the time. I could certainly help you out if the fleece is too much for you to handle.......... Lucky you to have a friend with alpacas!
Very cute! Especially love the "la la la" photo. Perfect caption!
As far as "novice" SLR's go ... I use mine as a novice camera all the time. ;) You know, just because you have a Ferrari doesn't mean you have to drive fast! Get one that you can grow along with.
