Knittie eggs (by Curly Purly) using all the bits and ends of my leftover dishclothe cotton yarn. Knit in the round, my only variation is to use magic loop instead of dpns, and size 7's instead of size 8's.
After I finally read the directions correctly (my problem, not the authors!), I have this pattern down to about 40 minutes per egg.
Instant gratification, indeed.
Egg-actly (har har har) what I need with two never-ending projects such as the MLCB and the GBII quilt going on and on and on and on. And on.
Like the Eeenergizer Eeester Bunny?
My plan? Well...initially...to knit one dozen for Grandbebe Girl for Easter. I am 92% there.
But I have more tail ends of yarn to go, and the eggs, they look so fun.
And I have a few...just a few...more baskets that I can fill with them.
So why not?

Oh dear! If you are trying to fill your baskets with eggs, I am afraid that you have another "never-ending project" underway!
oh wow. i have been sort of afraid to try knitting eggs but also really wanting to and i think after reading this i will have to give it a try. thank you! your eggs are really lovely.
I'm surprise that neither cat has "liberated" any of your eggs. You must be keeping them under close guard. I'm sure Grandbebe Girl wouldn't mind sharing or a little cat spit.
If you try to fill all your baskets, you will never finish your neverendings. I like the eggs. Love, WS
OH! They are ever so cute! I just printed out the pattern. Nice job!
P.S. I had to replant some of the iris yesterday as they were out of the ground! Not sure if I didn't plant them right or just the heaving of the thawing ground had a role. I hope they're ok! One was starting to sprout a new root ... :)
Oh they are so very cute, I'm sure she'll have a lot of fun with them. Maybe I should make some, I have lots of bits of yarn hanging around.
What fun! The eggs are wonderful.
Very cute!!
I agree to the basket comments! Also I am certain that grandbebe girl and her mom will appriciate the not-filled-with candy eggs!
