One of the lys is having their semi-annual sale this weekend. I have told Wonderful Guy I would very much like a yarn swift for my birthday, which is this month. Swifts are part of the sale, and he asked if I would want to go ahead and pick it up. He admits his cluelessness in those places freely and willingly.
So I did, and since I had to take the gift buying responsibility for myself, I decided I could go ahead and use it.
All set up with some homespun...
Ball winding in process....
Shock and Awe for The Cat Who Would Be Queen...
Somebody stop me!
And photos from before the chilly front which moved through yesterday. So far, temps have remained above freezing. I think so far the lilacs are intact. From the temps anyway...the wind may have blown them to Kansas!

An early Happy Birthday to you!! I bought myself a swift and ball winder recently as well and really enjoy having them on hand. Happy winding!
Ooohhhh I am jealous of your new yarn swift. What a great early birthday present. Oh and so I don't forget.....happy early birthday!
Early Happy Birthday - your birthflowers are out early there! (It's lily-of-the-valley, you know; you share it with my sister). I have TONS of them marching across my yard, but they haven't even unfurled their leaves yet, so no "white coral bells" here yet. You'll LOVE the swift; I've been known to wind up some skeins of yarn I won't even be using for a while just because the actual WINDING is such a fin thing to do. Mazel Tov!!
