...even though there has been little of that this week since knit night. I have had obligations in the evenings the last couple of nights, which have been enjoyable, but kept me away from home and out later than usual.
The Alison's Scarf is blocking.
Purchases made at the lys semi-annual sale last week.
The blue is for a dress for Grandbebe Girl. It is an Egyptian Cotton. The white is a bamboo blend for a pair of socks, pattern undetermined. Young Co-Worker and I each bought a skein of this. We are a poor influence on each other, I fear.
The peachey color is what I traded a fellow raveler for. I took it to work and had Asian Co-Worker translate the tag. It is 70% wool and 30%...stretchy. I asked, 'Elastic?' She said, 'Um...something like that....' Well, it's pretty and soft, and she did assure me that all the other numbers were for best inspection passing. It was my first trade EVER! Very exciting stuff, you know.
This is some targhee that I bought when I purchased my hand cards from craigslist. In all my photo taking tonight, I forgot a photo of the hand cards. Maybe later. The silk was purchased on sale at the lys, too. I am thinking to use it to blend with the merino I have...with the unshown hand cards.
And finally, my first spool of the alpaca fleece. This is a single, unplied as yet. I think it is looking very good, even if I can still see some VM in the photo, no less!
The Forest Canopy Shawl is in the background...see, still all knitting content! This is a little vase (and I forget the name for it) I bought at the Philly Flower Show in March with Eldest Daughter and Dearest Sister. It's for simple arrangements of few stalks, in this case, some lilies of the valley. They are very fragrant. Just those three little stems fill the area around the table. I have these plants blooming on the east side of my house now, and some on the west side, where they don't get so warm yet, that are just now opening their leaves.
Happy Mother's Day!

My dear mother dug up some of her Lilies of the Valley last year and we planted them here in my big flower bed. I feared they didn't make it over the winter, but they are up. Sadly, no flowers appear to be coming. :( But at least they made it!
