A BSJ!
Knit fearlessly past the dreaded 20th ridge.
Out of Rowan Cashsoft Aran, it is like butter to knit.
I have the next planned to be bi-colored (Oooh! So exciting.) out of Crystal Palace Crème.
And I will probably get a lot of knitting on these this weekend. We are going to take a long weekend excursion to eastern Utah to see Arches and Moab.
So while I have been spinning furiously lately (compulsive much?) on this…
louets northern lights wool top 'icy winter'
And this…louet 100% shetland
And this…louets northern lights wool top 'marmalade'
And this…Cloud City Fibers Merino Cranberry
Betsy, the spinning Lendrum, won’t be making the trip.
But the Needles of Iron will be, along with the BSJ’s, WIP, and project planned.
Hmmm. That might not be enough. I better get something else in mind. Besides a few dishclothes, I mean….
I only have these in my stash and Youngest has already mentioned she needs more!
Here we are, halfway through Blogtoberfesting, and so far, Dearest Sister and I have done well adhering to our schedule and not mixing ourselves up. We also have had fun. But! There is fun still to be had.
By us, at least!

I am glad you are safely past the 20th ridge! Is the air thin up there?
Lovely yarnage! My goodness, what ever will you do with all that yarn?
All of your yarns are so pretty -- what is the dreaded 20th ridge and what are you knitting with that buttery Rowan Cashsoft Aran?
I imagine spinning as being very calming (at least once you were good at it) -- sort of like hand quilting is for me. Is that true?
I am really enjoying the Blogtoberfest!
I refered back to an earlier post about the 'dreaded 20th ridge'. Twice while knitting E. Zimmermann's Baby Surprise Jacket, I have knitted 40 rows in (20 ridges) and realized my decrease have not been going the way they should be, and had to frog it all and start over. This time, though...smashing success!
Spinning is calming and also very rewarding. To take something so basic, and come up with something so usable. Makes me feel all 'earth woman-ish'! I suppose I will find something to do with it all...
I like the colors in you yarn. Will you drop by SLC while you are in Utah?
Gaynell - we will be on the other side of the state from grandbebe bean. And it's a big state. And it's just a long weekend. Sadly, no.
Spinning! Love all of them, but I think I like the first one best. Have fun this weekend.
I could swear I left a comment this morning, so if you see two from me you'll know why. :)
I had to follow the link because I did not know what a BSJ was!
Love the marmalade wool. What will it become?
Enjoy your weekend away! Moab and Arches is so beautiful! Take your camera please! Sounds like you have plenty of knitting projects to take along, so much so that I am worried you won't be watching all the gorgeous scenery! I'll be attending the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival in the rain (and possibly snow)!
Yes I need to re-stock my unused dish cloth stack! Gave my last 2 unused as part of a house warming gift last night! Those are great to keep on hand for gifts I may have forgot or don't have time to buy. Thanks for keeping me stocked!

The spinning is beautiful... but where is the alpaca? Have a great time on your trip and have fun with the BSJ.
Anon, do you need any round ones? I may have a few...extra...
Dish clothes! I might be able to handle that type of project!
PS: That marmalade is lovely.
Your spinning is lovely. I especially like the Icy Winter.
